it was not your dream, it is real (and 99.99% finished) :-)
Currently I am waiting for CardDavMATE 0.12 and CalDavZAP 0.12 translations and will release them ASAP. Then I need to finish the release script for the integrated version (~ 2 hours of work) and will release the first RC of the integrated version (RC because we already use it for lot of months and it is very stable).

p.s.: the integrated version will NOT replace CardDavMATE/CalDavZAP ... the integrated version will be a separate release which "merges" the latest version of both clients
