does infcloud support header "Access-Control-Allow-Origin <a-domain>"?

Hi everyone, Does infcloud support header "Access-Control-Allow-Origin <a-domain>"? I tried to configure my caldav server with "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" header set to <a-domain>", but infcloud seems to be unable to connect the caldav server, reporting the following error in the browser's console: > "Error: [netCheckAndCreateConfiguration: 'PROPFIND https://<a-domain>/dav/'] code: '0' status: 'error' - see https://www.inf-it.com/infcloud/readme.txt (cross-domain setup)" webdav_protocol.js:120:4 When I set this "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" header to "*", it works. I find it more secure to be able to set this header. Can you tell me how is infcloud supposed to work with this header? Thank!

Duration anomality in whole day events

InfCloud 0.13.2. A whole day event of today, created a number of days ago, reports a starting date of tomorrow. See screenshots. My feeling is that it may be related to the current time being less than one hour from midnight, local time. -- Johan

Duplication with Recurrence

Hello, first as well many thanks for this nice piece of software. After applying the patch http://www.inf-it.com/fixes/interface.js.diff you gave in the thread "Creating a new event by duplication..." I can now duplicate singular events. However, if the original event is recurrent, the new event does not appear in other davclients. On my server (radicale), I see in the original event: RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTHDAY=XXXXXXX whereas in the copied event, there is now a : RECURRENCE-ID;VALUE=DATE:XXXXXX Also even on infcloud side, the new event has no recurrence that I could alter. Creating a new event by duplication...

Hello, first of all thanks for all the work done by the Caldavzap and Davical developers! Working with caldavzap v.0.13.1 (on davical v.1.1.5) I noticed that if I create a new event duplicating a previous one, the previous still appears in caldavzap interface, but it disappears on other clients like Lightning (thunderbird add-on) or Apple iCal. Accessing the davical database entries regarding the two events, it appears that both have been stored but strangely they have the same UID. Is it a bug? Does it regard Caldavzap or Davical? CardDAV Fragen mit InfCloud

Hallo zusammen, bisher hab ich nur CalDAVZap verwendet und wollte nun auch InfCloud ausprobieren umd auf die Adressbücher zugreifen zu können. Der Zugriff klappt soweit. Es werden alle Einträge angezeigt. Allerdings fehlen bei den meisten Einträgen die Namen (Vorname, Nachname). Es werden nur die Firmen, Straßen usw. angezeigt. In anderen Clients sehe ich aber für genau diese Einträge die Namen. Ist das ein Fehler in InfCloud oder muss man da etwas konfigurieren? Der Server ist SabreDAV 3.20. Noch eine Frage: Kann man die Spalten der Liste ausblenden, so das nur noch entweder Nachname, Vorname da steht oder eventuell das Feld "Angezeigter Name"? Quasi eine schmalere Liste, statt der breiten mit allen Informationen? BTW: Sind neuere Versionen geplant? 0.13.1 ist soweit ich weiß bereits seit 2015 unverändert...

Hello, I am very new to caldavzap and I would need some help. I set up davical test server which provide not encrypted access (to avoid problems with selfsigned certificates). I installed caldavzap and edited config.js comenting out the "var globalNetworkCheckSettings={", and as I wanted to start simple I configured the var globalAccountSettings=[ { href: 'http://calsrvtest2.icgeb.org:81/caldav.php/MyUsername/', userAuth: { userName: 'MyUsername', userPassword: 'MyPassword' }, timeOut: 90000, lockTimeOut: 10000, checkContentType: true, settingsAccount: true, delegation: true, hrefLabel: null, forceReadOnly: null, ignoreAlarms: false, backgroundCalendars: [] } ]; But I get white page (used several browser, with same behaviour), on the server side I see in the access_log a generous traffic, but not relevant errors. I run cache_update.sh quite often. In a previous test I was connecting to calendarserver which seem not provideing stuff to avoid the cross-domain problem, but again I cannot make it work. CalDavZap

Hallo, CalDAVZap now works so that it can be used productively? The last thing I had noticed was that with Firefoxtools you could read the password despite encryption. The next is that Jan Mate always says that you should always look at his web server when it comes to features. It would be much better if Jan Mate explained how to activate what on his web server, so that CalDavZap works properly. I use Horde and Roundcube and I need to change my webserver nothing. Also CalDAVSyns for Android or the CalDav Syncronizer work perfectly, without having to change something on the web server. So what makes CalDavZap so extraordinary?

hello, looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_CalDAV_and_CardDAV_implementati… there is no support for Web_storage <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_storage> (or offline caching) in any of the html5 based caldav clients. When using the inf-it clients against my CardDAV/CalDAV server I notice that it requests a few custom properties. Are these properties and their purpose documented somewhere? The ones I have seen are: - {http://inf-it.com/ns/dav/}headervalue - {http://inf-it.com/ns/dav/}settings - {http://inf-it.com/ns/dav/}addressbook-color; analogous to {http://apple.com/ns/ical/}calendar-color I'm guessing Is this a complete list? Caldavzap bug: not saving Unicode characters over U+FFFF

Hi all, With other calendar clients this works but not with caldavzap. When I enter a Unicode character with a high code point, it is not saved. For example U+1F511 🔑 (symbol for a key) is not saved. It is shown when added in an vevent by another client. Is this reproducible and can this be fixed? Thanks, Pander

Hi all, I have a feature request. Please offer an options to override the number of weeks showing for weeks tab in caldavzap. Currently it uses 3 as default. Perhaps 4 is better. Any way, using values such as 1 (minimal) up to 8 (maximum) with a default on 4 would be preferable. (Month view has 6 as default.) Thanks, Pander

Caldavzap bug: not loading ICS subscription

Hi all, When I am subscribing to an ICS url which doesn't need a username or password, the loging in 'hangs'. Both with empty userAuth or missing userAuth in the config has the same result. Can someone reproduce this and tell me if this is a bug or do I have an error in the config file and how to correct that? CalDavZAP Do Not Load Reminders Lists

CalDavZAP is great for my personal needs, but loads a little slow with the number of collections I have (30+). I would like to set CalDavZAP to only load the Calendars, not the reminders (since most of the time I only need the Calendars portion). I have found the globalLoadedTodoCollections option in config.js. Is there a way to configure CalDavZAP to load no todo collections? The best workaround I have found is to just set it to load one collection. As a follow up question, is it possible to allow the user to load new collections after they login (i.e. those reminders lists I do not generally want to display)? External vs. Internal

Hello, so far I can use with my CALDAVZAP either internal or external with my URL. If it is to function internally, must in the href my internal URL stand for external use that is only possible in the href with the external URL. Is it possible, in addition to the Authorized Use of the respective user on integrate a global calendar for all users? Hello there, I wonder if anybody is running CalDavZAP successfully on MacOS Yosemite. I looked into the readme files and the mailing list archive and found only a couple of emails from October 2014 related to this issue. Problem seems to be the “in good old Apple fashion” everything changed and the location and or implementation of certain services have either vanished or are being re-written and moved. In this case the only thing left in “/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/caldavd/lib/python/” is “ServerFoundation” with an “__init__.py” script. The patch is looking for “/Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/share/caldavd/lib/python/twext/web2” which vanished☹ Has anybody been able to solve this problem? My goal is to have a user that is already logged into the server see his/her calendar online.. Thanks in advance for any help, - Uwe

Sorry about the delay, but here's my follow-up, as promised. I'll break your reply down to the core questions/concerns, for brevity's sake. I think in light of basic auth, digest auth looks more like fort knox -bcrypt would be fort nox; MD5 (digest uses it exclusively https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/misc/password_encryptions.html#digest) is the cryptographic equivalent of a bridge made of straws (way too fast and not salted) -"The original author of the MD5 password hash algorithm has publicly declared his software end-of-life and is "no longer considered safe" to use on commercial websites." June 2012 http://www.zdnet.com/article/md5-password-scrambler-no-longer-safe/ (sources should be linked throughout the article) TLS only addresses "end-to-end" encryption, but does not protect you from host-related threats. -If this is truly your primary concern, you should be writing your own authentication mechanism to address the security gap (or forgo passwords http://www.cnet.com/news/google-security-exec-passwords-are-dead/). Digest's approach to only transfer and store hashes seems ideal, but it utilizes a weak hashing algorithm. Basic supports the strongest hashing algorithms, but decrypts the TLS packets before hashing and verifying the password. Basic is considered the "go to" because out of the two, stored MD5 passwords are a bigger surface for attack than user passwords stored in memory for fractions of a second (sys admins are legally bound, and you should be seriously considering other countermeasures if you think a hacker might be able to gain access to your system memory. See: SELinux). The number of ways to break TLS connections is growing -I'm not sure whether to say this statement is redundant or false; an updated system is really only vulnerable to zero-day exploits. While zero-days should be considered during planning, we're actually talking about a general security compromise with digest (even if it includes a shift in the attack vector), so I'm going to say this point is moot in the context of digest as a solution (and in light of what I've shared above). Are you trying to say that Digest Auth is "unnecessarily increasing complexity/server load"? -Yes. Especially because it actually has security drawbacks (like limiting the hashing algorithm you store passwords with). Other considerations -exploitable via a Man-in-the-Middle attack. https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2617 (refer to section 4.8) -though rfc2617 also added a number of security options, a number of them are purely optional (you'll want to read through the above link for more detail on which features this affects) -based on your concerns, you should really check out that cnet article and consider implementing soft-tokens in place of passwords. They're more secure, and in the event of a compromise, they're unique and disposable. Hopefully this is digestible (unintentional pun). Getting back to the OP (me :-) It doesn't work with Internet Explorer. Says so right there in the subject line. I'm *guessing* it's because of the digest auth issue the developer alludes to. You say you're using Firefox. It works for me when I'm using Firefox. So unless somebody has a fix that doesn't involve me swapping the basic auth, I'd consider it substantiated.

Formatted Name

Hello all, The “Formatted Name” field of contacts is not used. Our problem is that we have a very big addressbook, and all contacts only have Formatted Name (no Last Name nor First Name). Attached is a patch that adds a field named “Display Name”, as most carddav clients call it, that is displayed in the contact window and editable. It is also used by default in the contact list. Warning: it has not been extensively tested (and only with Davical as a server), but it seems to work well. Hi All, First time trying CardDavMate - I'm probably doing something wrong :-) I am using a baikal back end with digest authentication, and was hoping to use CardDavMate to create an internal adhoc address book for a number of people. It seems to be working fine when I use Firefox, but if I try and use IE (10) I just get a blank page. Photo problems (again?)

Hi, Using InfCloud 0.13.2.rc1 with Chrome, I can no longer add a photo. Everything looks normal, until I save the entry. No errors are given but the resultant entry has no photo. When I modify (e.g. phone number) of an existing entry with a photo, the photo disappears. The existing photo on the server was a png. FireFox seems to have no problems with this. Errors as shown bij the Chromium debugger: GET data:image/jpeg;base64,, net::ERR_INVALID_URL data_process.js:6357 Maybe related to config.js: var globalContactPhotoType='jpeg'; ??? -- Johan

Hi. I'm desperately trying to get InfCloud working with Baïkal on a self hosted Apache server. >From reading through the mailing list I believe there are a number of requirements to address: 1. Combing CardDAV & CalDAV on Baïkal as per: https://www.inf-it.com/mlmmj/davclients/2015-01/0000032.html 2. Patching Baïkal as per: https://www.inf-it.com/mlmmj/davclients/2014-02/0000014.html 3. Cross domain config for Baïkal vhost as per: https://www.inf-it.com/infcloud/readme.txt As far as I know, I've made all the changes as required. I've tried using globalNetworkCheckSettings in both a cross domain and non cross domain setup. The results are as follows: Cross domain: Login screen is presented. I enter the username / password. Nothing happens. Browser console: Info: [globalNetworkCheckSettings: ' http://dav.xxx.xxx/calcard.php/principals/']: crossDomain set to: 'true' dav.xxx.xxx/calcard.php/principals/:1 PROPFIND http://dav.xxx.xxx/calcard.php/principals/ 401 (Unauthorized) Non cross domain: Login screen is presented. I enter the username / password. The browsers throws an "Authentication required" prompt. No matter what I enter, even if it's a username / password that works with other clients) the prompt just loops. Browser console: Info: [globalNetworkCheckSettings: ' http://server.xxx.xxx/baikal/html/calcard.php/principals/']: crossDomain set to: 'false' If anyone can advise as to what I'm doing wrong, it would be very much appreciated. InfCloud - how to trigger refresh?

Hi. I'm wondering how to make InfCloud refresh the calendar. I know that I've updated the calendar with another client, but I don't know how to make InfCloud display the updates. When I press F5 then I need to log in again which is unconvenient. Cheers, Tobi

Obnoxious entry

Timezone issues

Thank you for providing InfCloud to the community! I have assigned Asia/Singapore as my timezone in config.js, and this is also recognized in month/mweek/week/day-views. But when I hover over the appointment or open an appointment the time is shown un UTC. For example : Appointment start 20:00 SGT is shown as 12:00 UTC, which correct but inconvenient. The appointments a coming from Outlook and 'synchronized'. Appointments directly entered in InfCloud do not show this issue. Is there a way to show the time using the correct timezone (i.e. 20:00 SGT in above example) ? Is there a way to show times in 24-hours format? Thank you!

UI strangeness with email address

InfCloud 0.13.2.rc1 with Chromium (chromium-46.0.2490.80-1.fc23.x86_64). Select the contacts manager. Select a contact that has an email address. Move the mouse over the email address field. At the right appears a black square with a white right arrow. Clicking it seems to have no effect. (Note: With firefox, it opens an email window. This could be a config problem at my side. Anyway...) Click in the (last) email field. Type Control-V. A second, empty email line appears below the existing one. This also happens with phone numbers, address lines, and so on. Only on the last line of a kind. Note that we are *not* editing the contact, just visiting. The contact info is not modified. Second, it is not possible to click in the notes (txtNote) field, so it is not possible to copy/paste anything from it (FireFox and Chromium). -- Johan

Strange contacts column display

InfCloud 0.13.2.rc1 Screenshot 1 shows the contacts view. Note that column "Telefoon 2" is excessively wide (no, there are no very wide entries further below). Screenshot 2 shows the same after collapsing the contacts list. Now there's room for another column "Tekst", but the scrollbar is between the 3rd and 4th column, instead of at the right of the pane. Is this intentional? -- Johan

Problem loading contacts

Hi, Suddenly a good working configuration came to a halt. Symptomes: InfCloud gets stuck at "Loading 1 of 1". Reproducible with InfCloud 0.13.1 and 0.13.2.rc1, and with CardDAVmate 0.13.2.rc1. The problem seems to be in the contacts, since CalDAVzap works properly. The last command executed (from the http log): "REPORT /caldav.php/jv/addresses/ HTTP/1.1" 207 8404356 "http://localhost/carddavmate/" I can fetch the contacts w/o problems (using wget), and I tried reloading the contents from the VCF (using the DAViCal web UI). No change. I probably did something stupid, but I do not have the faintest idea what... -- Johan

If i look in Firefox in the Console, i get some XML Content as Answer. It seems, that these are my Events. There are Test Events from eM Client and InfCloud, but none of them are displayed. Calendars visible but no Events

Hello, after doing first tests, i have added some events to my calendar. This is SabreDAV if this matters. I could see all my calendars in the left pane, but no events. However, if i add a new event, i get the message that the event is successfully added. If i look on the Desktop via eM Client to the same calendar, i can see all my events. But i cant see them in InfCloud. Is there something i have missconfigured?

Even if this version is only RC, it fixes lot of issues and I strongly recommend to install it (especially if you have any of the problems listed in changelog). I don't expect any new bugs in this release, so it is safe to try it also in production environment (the final release is expected in ~ week). Strangeness in appointment duration

Hi, According to screenshot 1, the (whole day) appointment starts at 09-11-2015 and ends at 09-11-2015. However, when I click it to edit, it suddenly ends a day later. This is repetetive, every time I perform click/save the appointment is extended by one day. Update to 0.13.1 seems to fail

I have overinstalled Caldavzap 0.13.1 (my files are dates sept 22 15:30) on a (nice) no config davical/caldavzap installation. And all seems to work except I still have the message inviting to install "0.13.1 (you have0.12.1)". I have restarted nginx, chash_update.sh.... What do I miss...? Thnak you PC

Only one address book visible

Hi everybody, I just set up DAViCal + infcloud and most things are working fine so far. But I can't get infcloud to display more than the default address book. The preview at https://www.inf-it.com/infcloud/ looked like multiple address books and even groups are supported, but I can't get none of them working. Alternative iPad calendar client

Hi, One of the properties of the standard iPad calendar tool that really annoys me, is that it only shows 4 or 5 appointments in a day cell in month view. When there are more appointments, there is no visual clue that there are, and there seems to be no way to get a full list of appointments except for switching to another view. As a reference, Business Calendar on Android gives a full list of appointments when clicking the day cell. Does anyone know better clients on iPad that cooperate with a DAViCal server? -- Johan

I'm using CardDavMATE more than 2 years now (I love it!) and I recently noticed that in my current release (0.13.1) an entry in the search field seems not to search the categories field in the database. Can you confirm this? It used to work in previous versions, right? Since I'm using this feature a lot, I am really missing it! Is it a bug or a feature? Cheers, Gerald

URLs in calendar entries

Hi all, I am trying to combine CalDavZAP with the Roundup Issue Tracker http://www.roundup-tracker.org/. Roundup is a highly customizable, open source issue tracking system that can be used, for example, to track software bug fixing processes, customer support tickets, sales opportunities, etc. It supports datetime stamps in its database, but it does not come with an own calendar client in its web interface. However, it is easily expandable by Python scripts, which should allow to set up some interaction between Roundup and CalDavZAP in both directions. For example, I want to generate calendar events from within Roundup's web interface using a script that adds content to the .ics files. This should be no problem using the Python iCalendar package. In the other direction, from CalDavZAP to Roundup, I want Roundup to update its database if calendar events have been changed, added or removed. I think this can also easily be implemented by monitoring the directory where the .ics files live for changes using the PyWin32 package, and then parse the changed files for new content using iCalendar. But I would also need to be able to open a page in Roundup's web interface directly from a CalDavZAP event. The URL field would be ideally suited for this. I could populate each calendar entry that corresponds to a certain Roundup issue with a URL that points to that issue's page in Roundup's web interface. However, URLs in CalDavZAP are not hyperlinks. I am not familiar with JavaScript, so my question is: Is there a way to make URLs displayed in CalDavZAP events clickable hyperlinks? I think this would also make much sense for general usage of the calendar. Best regards Heiko Stegmann
