When I connect, to my https://davical.server/caldavzap/index.html
the page seems empty. It is not and if I key in Enter key, login dialog appears, then calendars appear.
But I can no more edit the calendar : add modify or delete event.
The same problem appears with carddavmate. The same problem appears on other html clients, it is a server problem, not client problem.
It has worked very fine during weeks, and I do not see what I may have changed on the server. In fact, I do not remind having changed something...
Any tip? Thank you.
Hi Pierre,
check your browser console whether all CalDavZAP/CardDavMATE files are downloaded from the server.
CardDavMATE/CalDavZAP are JavaScript applications (everything is running in the browser) so the login screen must work even if you misconfigure your DAV server or anything (if all files from the server are downloaded).

I have installed again, and it is the same problem. I please you to try my : https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap/ The dialog does not appear unless entering "Enter" key in the white page.
It is surprising, as it has run before.

Confirmed.
In the console I see these Javascript errors: SyntaxError: missing ; before statement jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js:1:10 TypeError: $(...).placeholder is not a function main.js:1677:1
Not sure if these cause the problem, but HTH, Vincent

What do you expect if you have problem with your certificate?

5.) problems with SSL /https/ and invalid (or self-signed) certificates - Why the client cannot connect to server with invalid/self-signed certificates? If a user opens a web page and the browser detects invalid/self-signed certificate it warns user about this problem, and usually shows an option to accept the server certificate (or add a security exception) manually. If the request is sent by JavaScript there is NO such option to show user the security warning, and also it is NOT possible to add security exception directly by JavaScript! - What to do to solve this problem? a.) use valid server certificate from commercial CA or b.) if your server certificate is not self-signed and is issued by your own CA, add your CA certificate into "Trusted Root Certificates" in your browser/system or c.) open the principal URL directly by browser, accept the invalid certificate (or add a security exception) manually

I don't understand what you mean by "correctly installed my own CA".
Your CA is NOT trusted by browsers => any certificate signed by your CA will be considered as invalid.
You need a certificate signed by a commercial CA, which is trusted by your browser (or install the certificate of your CA into "Trusted Root CA" in your browser).

I have not seen these mssages in my FF console, so seeming to show that my CA certificate is corrrectly installed in the browser.
I have checked (with browser console) that my CA certificate (available at http://www.couderc.eu/pc-ca.cert.pem) is correctly installed.
When I click in https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap/ I have an abnormal message :

Error: No such CGI app - /usr/share/davical/htdocs/caldavzap/lib/jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js may not exist or is not executable by this process.
I have checked that without ssl : http://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap/ I have no error, so showing that it is not a "true" problem with jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js

Oh, I did not suspect CalDavZAP itself but the more the fact that I am trying to make it work under nginx !
https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap//lib/jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js ^^ | gives : Error 502 - Bad Gateway
but https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap/lib/jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js ^ | gives : Error: No such CGI app - /usr/share/davical/htdocs/caldavzap/lib/jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js may not exist or is not executable by this process.
and
https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap//lib/jquery.browser.js and : https://davical.couderc.eu/caldavzap/lib/jquery.browser.js
are OK !!! (that is, display the js code !)

As you see your problem is not related to CalDavZAP - you must check your web server documentation/configuration.
It not works only because the source code is not loaded from the server.

The problem was solved without good explanation. Certainly, a trial with bad nginx configuration did lead to a bad version of jquery.placeholder-1.1.9.js in browser cache. After correction of nginx configuration, emptying browser cache did correct the problem.
