Hi Jan & list!
I'm using CardDavMATE more than 2 years now (I love it!) and I recently noticed that in my current release (0.13.1) an entry in the search field seems not to search the categories field in the database. Can you confirm this?
It used to work in previous versions, right? Since I'm using this feature a lot, I am really missing it! Is it a bug or a feature?
Cheers, Gerald
Hi Gerald,
it is hard to say whether it is a bug or feature ... :-)
In previous versions there was a fixed list of fields we used for the "search" functionality. The new version uses the globalCollectionDisplay option, which defines the list of columns in the interface, and this list is also used for the search functionality.
So currently only data present in the interface (even if certain columns are invisible, because the browser window is not wide enough) is searchable. If more users will complain I will revert to the previous functionality.
Cheers,
JM

Aaah, I see. Thanx for the explanation. I am far from complaining ;-)
Anyway, if you consider to include the category field in the list of searchable items for future releases, you definitely will find me a strong supporter!!
Thank you again for your great work!
Gerald
