Reload button (reloadResources function) is not doing anything

Dear Jan Maté / Mattias, First of all thank you for the very useful CaldavZap software, I installed it in our company to be working with davical server. To comply some of our needs I developed a tool to add events directly to the davical server database, and when a user press F5 and login again to your CaldavZap client all of them appear and can be managed without an issue (means that the way we are adding directly to the DB is correct). The problem is that I have received many requests to remove the needing of F5 and typing again the login and password, so I enabled the reload button (var globalEnableRefresh=true; in config.js) hoping that once the user press it, the some extra events that may have been added to the server DB are detected and loaded. The refresh circle button is appearing correctly, but the problem is that clicking on it, dosent make any effect. I "Swimmed" in your code during one week, trying to find the part of the code to perform the loading. Trying all combinations of parameters in the execution of the function "reloadResources(dontSaveSettings, loadArray)" in main.js. I created another one (forceReloadResources) to avoid touching your code and I called it from the div "intRefresh" onclick="forceReloadResources();" in index.html. I tried also to see how you make the initial loading after the login and simulate it in the click event (execute loadConfig() function and others in many ways..etc..etc), nothing of this worked. Please I appreciate if you help me indicating where I have to modify or add a code to make all the calendar resources and their events reload again when the user press the reload button without needing of login again(even it is ok for me the alternative of triggering that synchronization or reloading automatically every 5 min without the need of pressing the button). By the way, I use the globalNetworkCheckSettings (using globalAccountSettings to avoid auth and login is not possible in our case, we have 20 users). Thanks a lot,

Hi, Sorry for coming back again, but I just saw in the demo the exact functionality I'm looking for: In this image there are different groups of calendars in the one instance. Do I have to do some custom work to make this happen? Thank you again!

Hi! I usually make use of a bunch of apps (both web and android) that give me dates for several events, like health revisions, vehicle inspections, etc and are able to export this with ics files. They are single events ics files, not complete calendars. Is there a way to import this files in a selected calendar with infcloud? Thanks.

Question about Infcloud synchronisation

Hello, I've been using Infcloud for about a month and I'm really excited about it. The whole thing in connection with Baikal as a backend. Unfortunately, I noticed an error today that I would like to report. I also use Baikal in connection with my iPhone 11 (iOS 15.4.1). If I now change the company name in the contacts to Infcloud, for example, I see this change in the iPhone. If I change the company name on the iPhone, I also see this in Infcloud. So far all is well. If I add a contact picture to my contacts on my iPhone, I also see this in Infcloud. However, when I add a contact picture in Infcloud, it is not synchronised, i.e. I do not see this change in the iPhone. Can you please tell me something about this? infcloud in conjunction with baikal

Hello List, I have a functioning installation of baikal 0.9.1 on my Synology NAS. Now my concern is, to get infcloud working in conjunction with baikal. If it is possible to get help, I would be very grateful. The installation of baikal is in the root directory of web. Parallel to that infcloud is in the root of web. So I have two Installations parallel in web. There is an older article on this configuration at: https://thomastaucher.at/pages/infcloud-in-conjunction-with-baikal/. But I didn't get it working. dear all, i have baikal in : https://dav.lucato.com i have InfCloud in : https://dav.lucato.com/infcloud Baikal dashboard says all OK. DAVx5 on my smartphone connects with baikal OK (84 contacts) BUT i cannot find any good config.js to make InfCloud work as expected. The only Url that do something is : https://dav.lucato.com/ but InfCloud interface appears for half a second with "ressource 1/1" then all disappears and the screen of my browser remains blank. i tested the 3 methods in config.js with: https://dav.lucato.com/dav.php/addressbooks/gilles@lucato.com/ https://dav.lucato.com/dav.php/principals/gilles@lucato.com/ https://dav.lucato.com/dav.php/principals/ https://dav.lucato.com/dav.php/ Any help ???

The first thing I migrated is the most complicated one - the mail server and the old mlmmj mailing list (the new one is based on mailman3). Install error...?

I have a fine inf-it installation. Thanks again for calzapdav ! I try to install the same one on another server (with the same database). On this new computer I install nginx, php, php-fpm,davical, I connect to davical admin without problem, and I can list everything. I install inf-it following https://www.inf-it.com/infcloud/readme.txt and point 9 particularly. Then I try http://192.168.163.99/davical/infcloud/ Fine, the login screen appears... But when I enter user password, it refuses to connect. What do I miss...? Thanks for any help... PC

Content Security Policy

When enabling Content Security Policy on the webserver that serves InfCloud, unsafe-inline has to be enabled as InfCloud is including some js and some css in the html. Do you think it could be possible to remove this requirement, hence making InfCloud mose secure and reliable? unsafe-inline and unsafe-eval are obviously a bad habits and they could be easily avoided by moving css and js code un css and js files. More informations on demande if you need some.

VTIMEZONE

Hi, All my appointments take place in the central Europe timezone (Europe/Amsterdam) and hence each VEVENT contains a VTIMEZONE section for Europe/Amsterdam. This accounts for more than 90% of the event data, something I consider a big waste. It also violates one of the principles of information technology: avoid duplicating data. Is including VTIMEZONE data mandatory or can it be stripped? -- Johan

Hello! Is it possible to add a new CardDAV Group (aka "Apple vCard Group") in any of the clients (CardDavMATE or InfCloud)? Moving contact in a group or delete it from a group works without problems. If not: Is there a special reason why not and how can I add a new group? Hi, When I use e.g. InfCloud to cancel an event (STATUS:CANCELLED), is this synched to Android? I can't get Android calendars (stock, Business Calendar 2) to show these events.

InfCloud stopped working

Hi, I've moved my DAViCal server to a new system (RPi4 w/ Raspbian). DAViCal now runs as a virtual https host under Nginx (the old system used Apache2). Now InfCloud stopped working. It just displays red exclamation marks. Oddly enough, none of the other DAViCal clients (vdirsyncer, android clients) experienced any problems, they all continued functioning without even blinking. Are there any special settings necessary for DAViCal / InfCloud when using Nginx? -- Johan

Spurious PROPFINDs from CalDAV-Sync

Hi, It seems that Android client CalDAV-Sync/0.4.32 periodically issues PROPFIND requests to the configured DAViCal server, but with different paths. The DAViCal server is configured as https://davical.squirrel.nl/caldav.php/, but other paths used are: /remote.php/caldav/ /owncloud/remote.php/caldav/ /groupdav.php/ Is this normal behaviour? -- Johan

Login Page no longer visible

I'm just stumbling over an issue, that has been there then and now already in the past, but now seems to be persistant: I can no longer log into my infcloud instance as the Login screen is just empty. Looking in the page source in the Browser, I see that all containers have the attribute display:none Especially also <div id="LoginPage" style="opacity: 1; display:none"> What could I try to solve this ?

Issue with base64 images

Hello all, I’m using carddavmate and caldavzap for a long time, and I recently uncovered an issue: When I modify my contacts from infcloud, some of my pictures, the ones that get stored in png, have a field that looks like: ----- PHOTO;ENCODING=b;TYPE=png:data:image/png;base64,iVBO(...) ----- when exported. It seems like this kind of formatting is not supported, so I guess it’s not a standard one: when synchronizing with other clients, like the stock android app or khard, they crash or are unable to display the picture. As soon as I remove the "data:image/png;base64," part of the field, it starts working again. Is it an issue with infcloud? Note that it used to work for a long time without any issue, and quite recently I simultaneously upgraded and migrated from caldavzap+carddavmate to infcloud. I’m not absolutely sure what changed, but maybe it will ring a bell to some of you? Kind regards, -- Ismael

Infer N from FN?

Hi, InfCloud 0.13.2.rc1 When a contact is synced in that has an FN field but no N field, the entry in InfCloud becomes nameless. The contents of the FN seems to be ignored completely. Would it be possible (feasible, acceptable, allowed) to infer name fields from FN? -- Johan

suddenly 403 for config.js

I just realized that my infcloud Installation does no longer work. In the javascript console, I can see: Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () for config.js - checked the file permissions and it is 644 (folder infcloud is 755) with correct owner. As I did not change there anything recently, I wonder what might be the Problem ? any hints appreciated. (infcloud version appears to be 0.13.1)

Entries disappear after change of event

Hi, I have a repeating entry that repeats every 30 days. It is some kind of todo so when I took action I change the subject of the event by adding a 'checked' mark. This leads to an event (ics) that has several VEVENTs. One is the 'main': it describes the event and the RRULE. The others are modified occurrences with RECURRENCE-IDs. See attachment 'previous.ics'. Today I needed to move all upcoming events one day back. So I selected 'change all occurrences', 'repeat', and adjusted the date. The result can be found in attachment 'current.ics'. However, no future events are shown anymore. One thing I noticed: in previous.ics all RECURRENCE-IDs reflect the past dates and match DTSTART/DTEND. Sync, sync, sync

Hi, For a long time I've been a happy user of DAViCal and clients. But I get the feeling that over the years things are getting worse. The problem? Appointments on my Android devices are not updated, or do not propagate. I am inclined to blame Android. Modern Android devices are so energy hungry that they try to survive by putting draconian limits to honest Android apps. In my setup, there is a DAViCal server that shares the data. On Android, there's CalDAVsync that syncs DAViCal with the local calendar. The end user tool is Business Calendar that operates on the local calendar. This is a common type of setup used by most calendar apps and cloud calendars. In earlier days these apps were all happily living (and running) in Android, but nowadays they are put to sleep, stopped, thrown out, when the system sees fit. As a result, appointments are no longer updated and propagated. OTOH, Android is flexible so I assume there are settings to avoid this. So my question is: what permissions or other settings do I need to give the apps? Thanks in advance, Johan

The problem of the disappearing events

Hi, Suddenly I was missing some events. It took me some time to find out why. When InfCloud starts up, it loads events between 3 months in the past and 3 months in the future (configurable, in my case it is 12 months both ways). Now consider an event created April 1 2018 that repeats every 1st of the month. Every month I change it (add a 'check' when it is past) so the davical entry contains the actual VEVENT (with RRULE) and a huge list of VEVENTs with RECURRENCE-IDs. This event seems to be shown only if the starting date falls within the months that are initially loaded. When it is a simple repeating event (just an RRULE, no RECURRENCE-IDs) it is shown correctly. Any idea what is going on here? -- Johan

InfCloud: LAST-MODIFIED after event update

If an event has a LAST-MODIFIED: LAST-MODIFIED;VALUE=DATE-TIME:20190308T231001Z this seems not to be recognized by InfCloud. As a result, when changing the event via InfCloud, an additional LAST-MODIFIED is added: LAST-MODIFIED:20190309T090207Z ... LAST-MODIFIED;VALUE=DATE-TIME:20190308T231001Z Other caldav systems, e.g. ownCloud, then reject this event as being invalid. I'm not quite sure who to blame... -- Johan

Syntax for globalActiveTodoCollections in config.js

Hello, I have radicale running on my server and run caldavzap on my laptop to interact with it. The setup works fine, however I have quite a few lists and I would like to (down)load all lists but activate only one. From my understanding i have to change line 616 of config js: var globalActiveTodoCollections=['https://IP/radicale/USER/5285f224-a8b3-63fe-8324-c9b053a67d79/']; however, this doesnt work. I really tried everything I could think of, for example the syntax for the globalCalendarSelecter (which works) and anything similar. If I dont insert the full https address, the Browser console gives me this error: TypeError: globalSettings.activetodocollections.value[i].match(...) is null From what I understand the code tries to loop over the items in the array and perform a regex on them to extract relevant data. But I can't extract the required syntax from the code. Google or similar doesnt yield any results. I hope you people can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Jacob

can't load calendar (MDaemon and cors)

Hello, I'm currently having some trouble configuring CalDavZAP and server for a intranet. We have a webDAV server powered by MDaemon. It's compatible? It works fine with Mozilla Thunderbird. I want to load a calendar from server. At the moment I'm developing the client on a local server https and the webDav it's https too. I don't want login screen, so I've set up the globalAccountSettings. As I do not have permissions to manage the server, I have tried installing plugins for CORS but it does not work very well. Issues with globalNetworkCheckSettings and multiple items in additionalResources

Hi, I'm currently having some trouble configuring CalDavZAP with multiple additionalResources. Whenever I try to add more than one item to additionalResources, only the last one seems to get listed in the web-ui. I'm probably just having some simple configuration mistake but due to the awkward behaviour I was wondering whether this could be a bug within CalDavZAP, too. In the end I would like to have CalDavZAP list a set of shared resources, together with the user specific ones after a user logs in. /etc/radicale/rights currently looks like this: ----- [general] user: .+ collection: ^shared(/.+)?$ permission: rw [private] user: .+ collection: ^%(login)s(/.+)?$ permission: rw ----- If I use the following in CalDavZAP's config.js, I can reproduce the issue of only having 'another-cal.isc' shown in the web-ui: ----- var globalNetworkCheckSettings={ href: 'http://foo.example.com/shared/', additionalResources: ['some-cal.ics', 'another-cal.ics'], hrefLabel: null, forceReadOnly: null, settingsAccount: true, checkContentType: true, timeOut: 9000, lockTimeOut: 10000, } ----- The rest of config.js is left untouched. Duplicate UID after copy

Hi, When I copy (clone) an appointment (click on it, and [Copy] && [Save]) I en dup with two appointments that have the same UID. Even if this is permitted by the specs, there are some tools that have problems with this -- they require all events to have unique ids. Is it possible to generate a new UID for the new appointment? Also: The latest InfCloud release was in 2015. Is it still under active development/maintenance? Regards, Johan

Who's updating

When I have a repeating appointment, and delete one of the occurrences, a lot of changes need to be made to the event -- e.g. EXDATE, OCCURRENCE, ... Just wondering... Does the client have to do all this, or is it just an API call to the caldav server?

InfCloud settings

Hello, I would like to setup InfCloud to use with my cpanel calendar and contacts. I can access to my calendar with CalDav in Ligthning but I am not able to configure it in InfCloud. Is it possible to edit some fullcalendar.css (or other...) to get a light vertical border between day cells in the month view and/or horizontally center the day number in the day cell ? I have tried to go inside the css but did not success... And too are there alternate css...? Anyway the current one is very fine. PC

caldavzap gives me a white page

Hi, I have created a php script which produces .ics files from Volley match teams. These calendars are read only calendars and access is free (no login/password). I can subscribe theses calendars in many different applications but CalDavZAP 0.13.1 gives me a white page. I have manually add OPTIONS and PROPFIND http answers but I'n not really sure that it is correct. I think I don't understand the meaning these elements and what are the minimum answer. FireFox tells me that there is an XML error but I don't know where ? Using HTTP Basic Auth

Hi! I just want to share my hack, as it will likely be valuable to others as well. I have a not so uncommon setup: People login via HTTP Basic Authentication (popup window in the webbrowser). The webserver manages the login via LDAP. Once logged in, they have access to several webservices like wiki, file safe (Nextcloud or something), InfCloud and others. So clearly I do not want any login page. The login credentials are known by the webserver and webbrowser. The webbrowser will happily send them again without user interaction. Officially there seems to be no way to login without the login screen, but without hard-coding credentials in the config.js. Ok. Generally, this is not so easy, because in Javascript you cannot access the browser’s authentication cache—for good reason. But in my case (and maybe in your case, too) the InfCloud files are provided by the same webserver that also serves as the WebDAV server (DAViCal in my case); and also by the same vhost. (This might later be important—see below. I have no special subdomain for DAViCal.) So there are no (additional) security concerns in sending the credentials once again from the browser to the webserver and back again, so I can read them in my Javascript. Here is what I have done: 1) Rename InfCloud’s index.html to index.php. You should try this out. Maybe you better use another language, if PHP is not available to your webserver. In my case, DAViCal is running on the same webserver, which is written in PHP. So, obviously, I can run PHP scripts. 2) In the lines around 620 in index.php, there are some hidden form fields (<input id="foo" type="hidden" value=""/>. Add two more like this: <input id="foo-login" type="hidden" value="<?=htmlspecialchars($_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'])?>"/> <input id="foo-pw" type="hidden" value="<?=htmlspecialchars($_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW'])?>"/> The effect is, that the user gets back an HTML file with their login credentials in cleartext in there. Don’t do this, if this is risky in your setup. In most cases this should not be risky, as the browser knows the credentials anyway; as well as anyone who can read the traffic between the browser and the InfCloud webserver. 3) In the beginning of the index.php, inside the <head></head> section, there are several lines starting with “<script”. Move all these lines to the end of the document, right before the closing </body> tag. The Javascript needs to be loaded after the rest of the document, because otherwise the Javascript code in the beginning would not have access to the content of the document, i.e. to our credentials. 4) In config.js, enable the globalAccountSettings method (that one with the hard-coded credentials). But instead of really hard-coding some credentials there, you type (for example, if you have DAViCal installed in /cal/ and rewrite the URLs in your webserver config, so you can omit the part “/caldav.php”): href: 'https://example.com:443/cal/'+document.getElementById('foo-login').value+'/', userAuth: { userName: document.getElementById('foo-login').value, userPassword: document.getElementById('foo-pw').value }, If both the WebDAV server and the InfCloud files are below the same principal URL (same vhost), then a better solution would be, if InfCloud would simply try to access the WebDAV server without sending any login credentials. The WebDAV server would then reply with 401 and the browser would resend the request with the already-known credentials in the request header. This would be much less of a hack. InfCloud is failing on me...

All of a sudden InfCloud is missing events. I'm running InfCloud 0.13.2.rc2 since the end of 2015 using FireFox on Fedora. The DAViCal server is running on a separate system. InfCloud didn't change and neither did the DAViCal server. I did upgrade FireFox as part of regular system upgrades. This morning I noticed, the hard way, that a repeating event was missing from InfCloud. It is just gone. All occurrences, including past occurrences. The event is on the server, since other clients (Android phones and tablets) display it. This worries me very much. Is there anything I can do to find out what is going on? I tried cahce_update but that didn't make a difference. Update: InfCloud with Chromium doesn't show the missing events either.
